I believe that transgenderd people have a unique perspective and are highly respected in many cultures. This site is about transgender issues and specifically the spiritual and philosophical side of gender identity. I am a Tgirl, that is Male to Female transgendered, and consider this to be a blessing. I believe that it is individual uniqueness that enriches the whole of society. Without TG/TV/TS people, society would lose something. Many cultures embrace and revere transgendered individuals, recognising their contribution and enrichment.

Gender Identity of the Soul

For me, my gender identity is something that comes from my soul. How I express this in society depends on society's norms and conventions. Whether I express my gender identity in society, or just internally, my soul is unchanged. I am who I am at a core level and nobody can change this. Transgendered individuals know this to be true at a deep level, but society does not respect this and therefore does not respect them. I believe that everybody should be respected for who they are, this is a fundamental human right and any society that does not respect this is spiritually flawed.

In order for a tgirl to be accepted by society they must jump through certain hoops and conform to certain norms and conventions. If they do this, society will marginally accept them. This site examines some of these conventions and norms and challenges them. It looks at ways of expressing your gender identity on your terms, be you transgendered, gender fluid, two souled or otherwise. Most of all- this site is about the freedom to be yourself and to be regarded with honour and respect.
